Trophy Ridge Whitetails
Rent A Womb
The particulars are as follows: We supply 3-5 Texas (or at least 3/4 Texas line) pedigreed
and DNA registered, AI experienced does, their care, fawn care including tagging, birth weight,
vaccinations, etc and if desired bottle raising (for an extra $500 each), and our entire AI process
including using Dr. Dennis Gourley to assist with insemination. We also are responsible
for having the fawns DNA parentage certified, but not registered with NAWR (that cost is an additional
$25 and can be done at any time later by the owner). For this we get $1000-1500/doe/year
(depending on the doe line). Get in touch with us for doe lines available.

You provide the semen that we both agree will have the maximum impact in Texas and have it transferred to
our account at COBA in Tyler. We split the fawns 50:50 at weaning, with you getting first choice,
us second, you third, us forth, etc. Should there be an odd number of fawns, we get that odd fawn
because you got the first choice. Should you desire the greater number, then the choicing process
would be reversed. Who chooses first is your choice.

For out-of-state customers, the co-operator would have to be a member of TDA in order to sell
the offspring in Texas through our auctions (most sales are now limited to 2 consignments per
member).
Secondly, it would probably be an advantage to do some limited advertising with TDA so members would be familiar with the genetic lines being offered.
Web advertising through Texas Outdoor Webs is an affordable alternative and/or an effective supplement to
print advertising.
There is some skepticism
about northern bloodlines and EHD susceptibility in Texas. Some of this results from adult
deer being imported in the past and having poor survivability, and some of it is probably marketing
from South Texas.
Thirdly, to be successful the semen used will probably have to be in
short supply and from well known bucks, or "Oh My Gosh" sons.
